Thing 2 -- Time

Finding the time. That is a big issue for me. I can't learn this in 15-20 minutes at a time. I don't spend time doing my hair, or make-up, or smoking as Stephen Abram talks about. I have a very hard time finding the 20 minutes a day to exercise. So finding the time is a real challenge for me.The best time for me is early Sunday morning. I started this morning at about 5:45 and it is now 11:3o. I have taken time to eat breakfast, take a shower and get dressed. I have a cold so I did not go to church this morning which is why I am still doing this. My children (son, 18 and daughter, 22) are out of the house and my husband has been reading and is getting ready to leave, so I have very few distractions. Let me amend that, my husband just turned the TV on and now I am a little distracted. (Have I mentioned the I am mildly ADD?) Now I have lost my train of thought. Oh, time. The other time that I might be able to do this is at work after the students and teachers have left. But we have a family health issue going on right now, so I have to leave work promptly at 3:45. I will be interested to hear what others have to say.

  1. I don't have much time to work on this at work, unless I am on the circ desk and it is really quiet (Wednesday and Thursday evenings). I work on it in avoidance of studying, which is bad. I also have a strong desire to share my opinions and articulate my thoughts for others to read. But, mom, if you watched just one less _How Clean is Your House?_ a day (or week), that you give you half an hour. Also, you need to change your timezone on here - it is still defaulted to central time or whatever.

  2. Hi Betsy! I knew you'd be one of the first to try the 23 things! You are always willing to try things-so give yourself a big pat on the back. I don't know everything about it either....but here I am posting to your blog! How cool is that? I can't register my blog with Neflin since I'm not really eligible.....so I'll be trying the 23 things on the underground level. Keep going....I always like to hear what you have to say....

  3. From your profile it appears when you make a decision to do something you follow it through. I'm glad you've found the time so far. I like your writing style. I'm sure what you've articulated will resonate with others.

  4. Okay -- what is your take on the difference between a posting and a comment? I would like to know.
